Preston Bass Interpreting Services

INTRODUCTION

Caroline Preston Bass and Jerry Bass own Preston Bass Interpreting Services, LLC. They are native signers and collectively have more than 60 years of professional experience as nationally certified interpreters. Both have maintained memberships in and actively support the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf by taking leadership roles and serving on national, state, and local committees.

Interpreters used by Preston Bass Interpreting Services, LLC are independent contractors and are not employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

Interpreters provided by Preston Bass Interpreting Services, LLC are at the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certified level and/or National Association of the Deaf (NAD) certified level and qualified per state law (Click here for state law).

Preston Bass Interpreting Services, LLC can provide for the communication/interpreting needs for all Deaf and/or hard-of-hearing clients:

American Sign Language

Signed English

Tactile (Deaf/Blind)

Oral

Real Time Captioning can also be arranged.

RATES

Charges for the services are competitive as compared to other local service providers. Rates will vary depending on type of service and availability.

TEAM INTERPRETING

Unless negotiated, the standard for services will be a team of two (2) interpreters for sessions longer than 2 hours. Otherwise, the decision to adjust the team policy will be made by the parties involved.
